  • Review of Lumina Solar PA in Lancaster County Pennsylvania by Jason H: This review is long overdue, as our install was in Sept 2023. We worked with Chris Richardson throughout the process and he took his time to answer a ton of questions. We had panels installed on a new build, and they worked with us to send someone out to measure all the rooflines since maps did not have images of the roof yet. We also did not have a full year of electric bills, so Chris was patient enough to wait on us a few months after we initially spoke so we could get 6 months worth of usage, then extrapolate the rest. We have now had the system for a complete 12 months and I am happy to say that it has produced slightly more than it was projected for, which we are happy with, as that gives us room to grow. I mainly bring this up because the projected system size was pretty much spot on… We've heard some horror stories about systems not being sized properly, but that's not the case here. As an additional note, we had a whole house generator setup after we got the panels installed, so we had to get a couple techs to come back out after the fact to re-work the wiring in our panel (note we paid for the service call and expected to). We reached out to Chris and he helped get us in touch with the right folks at Lumina to make that happen. All in all the customer service was what you would hope for, and the main reason we chose to go with Lumina.
  • Review of Lumina Solar PA in Lancaster County Pennsylvania by Jeffrey Page: We have had an excellent experience with Lumina Solar. Our great experience began with our initial contact with Lumina’s Residential Solar Consultant, Ryan Cook, who patiently walked us through what Lumina was offering, what we could expect from the service, how the installation, how long the process would take, as well as what financing options we might be eligible for. Once we signed with Lumina, every touch point with the company was smooth, professional, and efficient. At one point we had a minor concern about our roof, and Lumina sent out a senior consultant to look at the situation, talk through the issue, and arrive at a satisfactory resolution. Most importantly, since we installed the Lumina solar panels, our electric bills have dropped to zero — over the past few months we’ve paid PEPCO on the nominal administrative fee of 18-odd dollars. Lumina has provided excellent service from start to finish, and we are very satisfied not only with our reduced electric bill but also with the knowledge that we are contributing to a greener environment.
  • Review of Lumina Solar PA in Lancaster County Pennsylvania by Darius Pham: Did my installation with Tim Cook. He help me navigate through all the installation steps. Is great and awesome. I would highly recommend him. Glad after 2 years is not as bad.
  • Review of Lumina Solar PA in Lancaster County Pennsylvania by Loretta Killian: Lumina Solar is a great choice and amazing company. We had checked out several solar companies over the years but many were fly-by-night, here today, gone tomorrow companies. I read good things about Lumina and called them. My husband was rather skeptical at first but was sick of our now $250--300 electric bills. Our Lumina rep Chris Richardson explained everything in layman's terms with graphs and 3D satellite pix of our property. The financial aspects were all laid out upfront so no surprises. All permits and legwork were done by Lumina. All workers were well groomed, polite and professional. We've had questions from time to time and our rep is always available. We think going with Lumina Solar is one of our best decisions ever!!
  • Review of Lumina Solar PA in Lancaster County Pennsylvania by Jason Quattro: I had researched solar for a couple of years before finally deciding to pull the trigger. I talked to quite a few installers and got a ton of different options on panels, wattages, inverters, pricing, financing and warranties. What I really like about lumina is they do everything in house and nothing is subcontracted out. The entire process with them from start to finish was smooth and professional. They have excellent prices, use top rated panels (I chose the REC 405 watt panels) and the best warranty (30 years). I got 25 year financing and pay much less than my electric bill was. Lumina was very organized and professional every step of the way. The install was very clean and I liked how they ran the wiring through the attic and down the house tucked against the gutter so you can barely see it. Peter Hayes was fantastic and even came out to my house on the day the install was completed to check up on everything. I installed a “sense” system (one of the best purchases I have made) so I can monitor real-time consumption and production. During my first month I sent over 1100 kWh back to Peco (after factoring in consumption) and that’s with charging an electric car. The system also performed great over the rest of the year and the winter. I have banked enough kWh during the spring/summer to draw from during the lower solar production months. Now that a year has passed I am happy to report that I have produced a good bit more than I consumed so Peco will send me a check for the excess energy! If you are on the fence about solar reach out to Lumina… you will be glad you did!
  • Review of Lumina Solar PA in Lancaster County Pennsylvania by tim brodhead: Going solar is something I’ve thought about for years and finally decided to act on it. Jevon Ciciliot, my salesman reached out to me and drove all the way up to my house to discuss further and come up with a game plan with the most efficient system possible. Jevon was polite, respectful, professional, and knowledgeable. With such a major investment, naturally there are a ton of questions. Jevon was able to answer and explain everything in a way that doesn’t make your head spin. He also presented and carried himself like a friend that I’ve known for years. Jevon was always available to answer any questions that inevitably pop up and would get back to me promptly regardless of how busy his schedule may be. Once it came time for installation, the install crew also carried themselves professionally and worked quickly. I was told it was a 2 full day job to complete but they were done in a day and a half without any mistakes. They kept me in the loop throughout the install so I always knew how things were going. And most importantly they didn’t leave any mess behind once they were done. Overall I had an excellent experience.
  • Review of Lumina Solar PA in Lancaster County Pennsylvania by Richard Frey: From the very beginning until now after our system was installed our experience with Lumina Solar and Philip Jordan has been awesome. In the beginning we looked at a few different Solar companies. My wife and I thought that the presentation that Philip gave was the most informative and the best. Philip was only a call or text away for all the many (and by many I mean alot) of questions that we had and still have. Our system would have been installed about 2 months earlier if not for having to file for a varance for the township. Philip assisted us with all the paperwork and then even offered to help us with addressing about 50 envelopes to send out for the hearing. Once the permits were issued the process went quickly and smoothly. The panels (41 between the house and detached garage) were installed in only 2 days. My wife told me that Cameron and his crew were very professional. Cameron took his time and made sure to explain everything to her. After the install the inspection was only 2 days later and I signed the last form for PPL that Friday. The following Tuesday afternoon our system went active. It's been on for a week now and producing more then we are using so we will have some credit in the winter. Again the whole process with Lumina and Philip was a great experience. Ps. I just asked Philip another question today and as usual he was quick to respond.
  • Review of Lumina Solar PA in Lancaster County Pennsylvania by Brady Bowlin: Shopped around for solar for a bit before finally landing on Lumina, and I must say I was instantly impressed. Phillip was amazing at not only walking me through the process and helping me pick a system that fit my needs, but also answering any of the many questions I had throughout the entire process and keeping me updated from start to finish. Install day went without a hitch, and both the installers and electricians did an amazing job of explaining the process of installing all 36 panels and any electric work needing to be done! 11/10 would recommend for any and all solar needs!!
  • Review of Lumina Solar PA in Lancaster County Pennsylvania by Steve Raffensberger: Technically excellent! Workmanship and courtesy of installers was great. Logistically, less so...maybe due to my remoteness from Lumina resources. No one arrived on schedule. Coordination with local inspectors was poor.
  • Review of Lumina Solar PA in Lancaster County Pennsylvania by Lauren Kozar: I had been considering solar panels for a couple years and had spoken with various companies. Lumina solar made it clear to me that purchasing solar panels were the best option. Dealing with their sales rep Phil Jordan through to the install was a pleasure and I highly recommend them.
  • Frequently check mounting hardware-- tighten anything that feels loose.
  • See for staining or warping on panels, signs of concealed damage.
  • Watch on inverter efficiency metrics; unexpected drops often hint at underlying issues.
